Zac Efron took a break from his own holiday festivities with his family to write a special message to one of his fansites, Zefron.com.
The 21-year-old actor wrote, “I just wanted to send a quick thank you to everyone on Charismatic. I received some pretty incredible gifts for my birthday and Christmas lol… my family and I have been enjoying the messages. Especially the art smile. The birthday book is BY FAR the sweetest present I have ever received. Nothing has ever made me smile like flipping through letters, drawings, poems, and photographs of the cutest girls I’ve ever seen. Your kind words and enthusiasm are truly humbling. A million thanks, guys. You brought something very special to my 21st. Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone. I’m stoked to have so many friends on this awesome day. Vanessa will soon be gearing up to promote her new film, Bandslam, soon. According to Variety, Summit Entertainment and AEG Live will be teaming up to hype up the battle of the bands film. AEG Live will book dates at select Nokia venues in New York and Los Angeles where Vanessa, co-star Alyson Michalka and other acts from the movie will play to promote the film due out in theaters July 2009.

High School Musical 3: Melbourne Madness

“I love being a part of High School Musical, I wish I could do it forever but everyone’s got to grow up,” Zac said. “I’d love to try it all. I’ll see where the wind takes me.”

The trio was accompanied by director Kenny Ortega, who said, “I never would have thought this film would have had the global reach it has. I wept my eyes out on our final scene when the curtain came down. I had that bitter-sweet moment parents have when they send their kids off to college. I do fear for them because it’s a fickle industry and there’s lots of traps. But I have great confidence … that they are going to make good decisions and stay around for a minute.”

High School Musical Goes Down Under

Director Kenny Ortega accompanied the three stars-in-training to the land down under. The foursome were seen cruising the waters and having dinner at Catalina restaurant on the harbor yesterday.
After being No. 1 the previous two weekends, HSM3 ranked No. 3 at the box office this weekend and raked in another $9.3 million.
