The 20-year-old actress accompanied boyfriend Zac Efron (in a Burberry suit, Ferragamo shoes and IWC watch) to the award ceremony. Zac will present Best TV Drama Actor with Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere.
Zac admitted he was nervous to present. He said, “I can’t believe it. [I] 100% [get nervous before presenting at awards shows]. Absolutely. Plus, you have to sit in a car for 1/2 hour before and just dwell on what you’re’ going to do at the show… I got out of the car to stretch because we were waiting so long.”

Zac Efron took a break from his own holiday festivities with his family to write a special message to one of his fansites, Zefron.com.
The 21-year-old actor wrote, “I just wanted to send a quick thank you to everyone on Charismatic. I received some pretty incredible gifts for my birthday and Christmas lol… my family and I have been enjoying the messages. Especially the art smile. The birthday book is BY FAR the sweetest present I have ever received. Nothing has ever made me smile like flipping through letters, drawings, poems, and photographs of the cutest girls I’ve ever seen. Your kind words and enthusiasm are truly humbling. AEG Live will book dates at select Nokia venues in New York and Los Angeles where Vanessa, co-star Alyson Michalka and other acts from the movie will play to promote the film due out in theaters July 2009.

“I love being a part of High School Musical, I wish I could do it forever but everyone’s got to grow up,” Zac said. “I’d love to try it all. I’ll see where the wind takes me.”

Director Kenny Ortega accompanied the three stars-in-training to the land down under. The foursome were seen cruising the waters and having dinner at Catalina restaurant on the harbor yesterday.
